This new 2-storey facility was designed to meet the increased harbour demand for on-site ice distribution to its local fishing industry.
Completed on an expediated schedule, the first floor provides the general administration area, a maintenance shop and ice bins with the upper storey housing the mechanical / refrigeration, electrical rooms and ice makers.
This industrial project was designed for durability consisting of structural steel with insulated metal panels and roof with interior walls and ceilings finished in a bright and easily maintained sheet finish.
Extensive coordination was required between the Consultants and suppliers for the new and existing ice-making equipment and associated heavy equipment.
