ETRO Head Office

Vancouver, BC  |  Interior Design  |  Completed 2025  |  16,100 sq ft

The alignment of vision and execution resulted in a highly successful transformation of the ETRO Construction headquarters. MGBA was proud to collaborate with the ETRO team to reimagine an unpolished, underutilized space—uncovering and celebrating the natural beauty of the building that had been obscured over time.

ETRO is a team of professionals committed to building a collaborative environment where people thrive, making them an ideal client. Highly communicative and energized by a clear vision, the team approached the project with enthusiasm and a shared commitment to quality. The resulting design elevates the existing space by emphasizing its inherent architectural character—revealing structural elements that showcase the building’s unique qualities and introducing a central staircase that connects the two floors. This staircase serves as a defining architectural feature, creating a strong sense of arrival and visual connectivity throughout the workplace.

The main level is organized around collaboration and community. Designed to enhance the daily experience, the floor is rich with amenities, including a spacious kitchen and café-style gathering area that encourages social interaction and informal connection. A dedicated wellness zone—complete with gym equipment, lockers, and a shower room—supports employee well-being and reflects ETRO’s commitment to a balanced, people-focused workplace.

The second level is dedicated to focused work and flexibility, offering a combination of open desking areas, private offices, and additional breakout and boardroom spaces. This variety of work settings allows the space to adapt to diverse work styles while supporting productivity and collaboration across teams.

Inspired by the kindness, authenticity, and curiosity of the ETRO team, the design palette emphasizes raw, natural materials that integrate seamlessly with the existing building. Exposed concrete, natural stone surfaces, and dark wood tones create a grounded, honest aesthetic, balanced by bright, intentional lighting and curated artistic accents. The resulting environment feels direct and authentic—echoing the experience of working with the ETRO team themselves. Layered with character and purpose, the finished space reflects the craftsmanship, quality, and expertise that define the ETRO brand.
